Exceptional Minds

Co-Executive Director/ Program Director (Sherman Oaks, 2011 – Present)

At Exceptional Minds trains young adults on the Autism Spectrum to develop their natural talents in animation, editing, rotoscoping, web design and graphics arts. In only four years this one of a kind program has serviced over 150 families and boasts an 80% employment rate for it’s graduates.

Created digital graphics, animation and 3D models for the latest technologies, motion picture, broadcast, digital murals, architectural fly-through, and augmented reality for clients including Disney Studios, Universal Studios and Code Black Entertainment.

Created digital graphics, animation and 3D models for the latest technologies, broadcast, digital murals, architectural fly-through, and augmented reality for clients including Imagineering, Disney Special Events and Universal Creative.


Thinkwell Design

Director of Digital Media Department (Burbank, CA 2006)

Created digital department for themed experience design firm. Responsible fly-throughs, digital murals, digital illustrations and animated simulations. Collaborated in design of amusement parks domestically and internationally.

Scenic Artist Contractor (Anaheim / San Diego, 2005)

Hand painted and designed new entrance to Muppet Theater Marquee in California Adventures at the Disneyland Resorts. Trompe l’oeil painting of theater curtains and Muppet characters.

Scenic Lead (Mexico, 2004)

Scenic lead for explosives factory set. Aging and graphic treatment for old west town. Scenic treatment for train set.


Universal Studios Port Aventura, Hotels Port Aventura and El Paso

Art Director (Spain, 2002)

Art directed two five hundred room themed hotels. Designed and supervised production of six murals and all exterior finishes. Supervised finishes for interior spaces. Produced and purchased props. Managed budgets, schedules, artists, crews, contractors and vendors.

Mural Makers Contractor (Tujunga, 1994-2002)

Senior Scenic Artist in painting sets, backdrops, props and logo design. Shows and Rides: Indiana Jones, Tomorrowland, Pocahontas, Hunchback and Toy Story traveling shows, Toon Town, Blizzard Beach, Disney Stores, World of Disney, E3, Innoventions, Roger Rabbit, GM Test Track, Animal Kingdom, Queen of Hearts, Sinbad, 20k, Journey, Volcania, Tokyo Disney Seas, Buzz Lightyear, Flick's Fun Fair, Disney's California Adventure and the renovation of It's a Small World.

Field Art Director (Spain, 2001)

Winner of THEA's Award for Outstanding Achievement, 2003, Best Amusement Park attraction. Designed scenic finish of a Mayan temple replica: exterior, interior set and queue lines. Managed local scenic artists, paint crews, budgets, contractors, and vendors.


Universal Studios Port Aventura, Sea Odyssey

Scenic Lead (Spain, 2000)

Scenic finish of tunnels, submarines and submarine docks. Created finishes to produce an accurate interpretation of color renderings. Trained local artists in execution and finishes. Managed artists, crews, contractors and vendors.


Universal Studios Port Aventura, Mediterranea

Scenic Lead (Spain, 1999)

Managed international crew in renovation of an entire land of the amusement park. Created finishes to produce an accurate interpretation of color renderings. Developed local painters to establish a permanent scenic crew for future projects. Managed schedules, finances, artists,

crews, contractors and vendors.

Restoration of three haciendas, painting of gold mine and cave sets. Managed schedules, finances, artists, crews, contractors and vendors.
